Flyrtle 1.0 - August 12-13, 2005
2005 was the first year for Flyrtle and back then it was just called the "All Florida" meet. It was nothing more than an idea to find a location about halfway between Orlando and Miami that had the capacity to house a meet for about 20 cars. As the day drew near we started to realize that we had a good chance at getting well past 20 cars and ended up closer to 40 by the end of the day.
Flyrtle 1.0 included a big showing for the track night at Moroso as well as a fun filled evening of turbo test rides after the track since only one of us was boosted then. A far cry from the 10 boosted we had in 2008 :) The day of the meet one car made it there on it's own, but left on a tow truck, he quickly given the award for "Least Likely to Make it Home." The car musta got fixed because it made an appearance again in 2006.
